Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Very complex and intriguing aromas of honey and apricot from the noble rot “botrytis cinerea” show on the nose, with honeysuckle and a floral note of rose petals. It is very succulent and rich on the palate, and balanced with crisp acidity.

We first tried this as part of our sampling back in 2011 while we were there for our Honeymoon. We bought two bottles for the week and when we got back home we knew we'd want more. For our one year anniversary we bought three more bottles, and the year definitely made it stronger than last year.

My wife and I are not big drinkers at all, and so this wine is just perfect to have small glasses with desserts and other sweet goodies.

I was not a wine drinker but since I tasted the dessert wines from the Castle... and it started my love for it. And I love this wine the most... still has a hard time pronouncing the name, but I'm proud to give them away as gifts, especially to my boss :)

This wine was one of the 5 I tasted last week during our visit to the castle. It is very sweet and smooth, which is my favorite kind of wine. I had never had a Gewurztraminer before, but this tasting got me starting on looking for them on menus and wine stores back in MN. Amazing wine, would be perfect with cheesecake! The only downfall is that the bottle is half the size of a regular bottle of wine, which is why I purchased a bottle of the Fantasia instead.

We tasted this wine and liked the taste of it as well it goes well with any spicy food if you like. It is good for ladies who do not enjoy more dry wines. However, a downside that it is too expensive for the taste while many cheaper versions of compatible wines available. 375ml for $ 40. One of the most expensive wines. On your purchase order it does not show you the size also when you go for the tasting at the castle they pour you from a 750 ml bottle. On ordering you get 375 ml for $ 39 a piece. Smooth wine deceiving selling tactics.

This wine is one of my favorites! If you love ice wine then this will be right up your alley. It is a very sweet wine and perfect for dessert however I love it just to have any time. Yes it is a smaller bottle, but if you are used to late harvest Riesling or Ice wine this is the perfect size. I actually find the price to be very good due to the fact that Ice wines are so expensive. This is a lighter version of an ice wine. Love it!
