Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Zesty and full of briary black cherry and fresh pine aromas with tart blueberry and licorice flavors that finish with ripe but lively tannins. The balanced acidity makes this a great food wine. This wine finishes peppery, with flavors of red and black berries.
Awards
Gold Medal - 2014 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition
Vineyard Notes
The relatively cool climate of the Russian River Valley allowed for slow ripening of the fruit, resulting in full flavor development and increased complexity.
Food Pairing Notes
The balanced acidtiy makes this a great food wine. The wine's delicate fruitiness makes it a great companion for creamy pasta dishes, grilled meats, poultry, game birds and robust cheeses.

I used to love Il Brigante but my representative suggested I try this since I like a peppery note to go with steaks! This hit the ball out of the park!
