Winemaker Notes
A Crisp, dry white wine made in the Italian style with a fragrance of aromatic herbs and a hint of mineral and earth in the nose. Closely related to Pinot Noir, Pinot Grigio takes its name from the color of the grape skins, which range from copper to gray. It is thought to have originated from a mutation of the Burgundian variety Pinot Noir, discovered by monks in the 14th century who collected and propagated the grape from just a few cuttings.
Food Pairing Notes
Perfect as a pre-dinner sipper or with fresh salads containing prosciutto, ripe cantaloupe and mild cheese. great with all types of seafood, picnics and at tailgate parties.
