"Mendocino County’s Anderson Valley has long been something of a secret treasure of American wine, particularly when it comes to this variety, and until recently the local wineries had the production market cornered. This release shows the wine acumen of the Sattui Family as they reach for prime fruit that’s a little outside of their Napa Valley home. This wine presents lychee, pear, stonefruit, fall spice and stony minerality with just enough residual sugar to keep the fruit lively and in balance with the other aromas and flavors. The long crisp finish rounds out a wine that awaits the chance to accompany your favorite Thai dishes."
Floral, spicy aromas of lychee nuts, rose petals, clove-like spice and apricot among others. On the palate, the wine shows an oily texture typical of dry Alsatian Gewurztraminers.

The concentrated fruit flavors of delicate, ripe pear plus mild spice are balanced by supple acidity.
Food Pairing Notes
The wonderful, spicy finish makes it a great match for Asian, spicy dishes and other well seasoned dishes or with aged and cured, smoked meats.
