Pretty aromas of red currant and black cherry mingle with black fruits with a touch earthy, cured meat aromas that frame the wild berry flavors and toasty oak on the palate. The wine shows polish with a good balance between acidity and round and ripe flavors. Finishes with moderate, well-integrated tannins. Delicious and supple now, it will continue to improve for several more years to com.

This is one of our favorite reds from the Castle. Great color, great nose, and great taste. We're not experts by any stretch of the imagination but this is without fail a favorite when we serve it to guests. Just a nice wine to relax and enjoy company with.

My husband and I are not wine experts but we know what we love..... this wonderful Il Brigante wine is probaably the most delicious for the money in the valley. I love the feeling of the thickness of it as it is swallowed and the lovely lingering taste. We have purchased several cases and are always happy to open a bottle!!!!!!
